At school: I played rugby league and represented Central Queensland, but was not particularly good at any other sports.
I wish: That the floor space available to my business was double what I currently have.
Describe your business … what makes it different/better: Customer satisfaction is the key to success, combined with a fast and efficient repair service.
I’m good at: Solving problems.
I’m bad at: Co-ordinating my clothes when I go out.
How long have you worked in the area? As long as I have operated the bike shop, i.e. 23 years.
Short term goals? What about 5 years? Keep the business growing at a reasonable rate.
Your latest project is: The installation of a large screen LCD TV so that cycling DVDs can be shown in the shop.
What you love about your work? I enjoy working on bicycles.

What you would improve about the area/or your work? Cycling on the highway between Heathcote and Yarrawarrah is extremely dangerous and a proper cycle track is needed desperately.
How long have you lived in the area? 33 years
Has your family/partner been a help? The business is a family one with three members involved on a daily basis.
What business books do you read? Mainly trade journals and other industry related magazines.
What formal qualifications do you have? I have a BSc Chem.
