Sutherland’s 13s shock Stallions in Premier Youth League

Sutherland Shark’s under 13 Premier Youth League team kicked off last weekend’s round in a positive fashion  for local fans by winning 3 – 2 over Marconi Stallions. With Marconi running 4th and the Shark’s in 9th the result was quite unexpected.

The local fans expected a good day when the Sutherland 14s retained top position by defeating Marconi 1 nil. However, that was the local side’s last victory for the day. The Sharks 15s lost to the higher placed Stallions as did the 16s. The 15s are sitting in fifth spot.

The Sharks 18s are third on their table but have played at least two more games than their nearest rivals. They had a draw with 7th placed Marconi but who have played fewer games than all other teams.

Results for the round 17 played last weekend against Marconi Stallions were:

Under 13: Sutherland won 3 - 2
Under 14: Sutherland won 1 nil
Under 15: Sutherland lost 2 - 1
Under 16: Sutherland lost 3 - 1
Under 18: Sutherland drew 1 all

The next round is to be played from Saturday 4th July with the Sutherland Sharks Premier Youth League teams taking on West Sydney Berries at Lidcombe Oval beginning with the under 13s at 9am.
